Tell us a little about yourself.
Married to Gary J. Steinert for 18 years, between us we have three children, Roxanne Bailey, Adam Steinert, and Jessica Schudel.  Roxanne and Jessica have blessed us with four grandchildren.  I was born in Dixon but have lived in Morrison or rural Morrison for more than 36 years.

I enjoy of course being with our grandchildren, traveling and I actually enjoy my job too!  It is a lot of travel sometimes but I get to meet a lot of really neat professionals and help create investments and jobs for our area.  I also work on projects that benefit the citizens of Whiteside County. 

My latest project was to create public transportation for Whiteside County.  We have never had a designated transportation system because of the cost, but I found a program that the federal government had setup with the states to help bring money to get such a system started.  We don't have a bus on every corner but we are providing services through Whiteside County Sr. Center and are even providing rides to students to Sauk Valley College.  Having a service that covers the entire county has been a goal of mine since starting this job in 1999.
