Morrison Community Hospital is pleased to announce that Francie Jahn has joined the hospital’s Administrative Team as the new CNO (Chief Nursing Officer). Francie brings many years of expertise to MCH with her extensive leadership and nursing experience. She will be responsible for the oversight of all nursing and ancillary practice at MCH. Francie has over thirty five years of experience in the healthcare industry. Her most recent have been serving as a CNO and interim CEO for small and mid-sized hospitals. Francie’s education includes a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Grand View College, Des Moines, IA and a master’s degree in health service administration from the College of Saint Francis, Joliet, IL. Francie said she has always had a passion for healthcare and started as a volunteer at age 14 for St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Clinton, IA. She has worked for homecare services, hospice programs, critical care, and even physician’s offices. Her last twenty three years have been in a leadership and administrative role. Outside of her nursing career, Francie said she enjoys spending time with her best friend and husband, Alan. Together they have spent thirty three years in non-denominational ministry services as pastors for small rural churches and correctional facilities. They also have four daughters and thirteen grandchildren. “We really enjoy traveling with our family. Some of my fondest memories were taking my father to the WWII Memorial in Washington D.C. and going to Winter Park, CO with my grandchildren,” said Francie. Francie said she is thrilled at the opportunity to be at Morrison Community Hospital and is excited to get to know the staff members and the community. Even though she has served in multiple capacities in healthcare over the years, her philosophy on care hasn’t changed. “Nursing is a serving role and we are here for our patients, residents, and families. Our daily efforts must concentrate on their needs and how we can work together to meet them,” she said.
