Morrison Community Hospital recently held their first annual service awards dinners at the Blue Goose Run in Morrison. Thanks to the MCH Board of Directors the staff at the hospital will now be recognized and shown appreciation for their many years of commitment to their hospital, community, and patients. MCH Board Members, Luke Vander Bleek and Don Beswick, were the guest speakers for the evenings. Words like “commitment”, “loyalty”, and “compassionate care” were often referred to when speaking about the staff members who were honored for being employed with the hospital for five years or longer. Judi Schaver from the medical/surgical floor received a thunderous applause as she walked up to receive her award for 47 years of service at MCH. “I’ve never met another person who has worked that long in one place”, said John Perushek, CEO of Morrison Community Hospital. “You have to be extremely passionate about your job to stay committed for that long. Judi’s compassion for her patients is an inspiration to all of us.” Other MCH staff members with twenty or more years of service are Larry Voss, 35 years, Sharon Webb, 32, Jean Reed, 31, Ellen Voss, 31, Lavetta Griffis, 30, Nancy Glazier, 29, Mekie Jo Green, 23, Terri Boles, 22, and Carol Hill, 20. “We would all like to thank the MCH Board of Directors for approving this new benefit and Kathy Pennock, Director of HR, for her efforts in establishing the program”, said Neil Cooperrider, Director of Social Services. “Also, thank you to John Perushek, Don Beswick, and Luke Vander Bleek for their kind words of support, recognition, and inspiration.” To learn more about Morrison Community Hospital, Board Members, providers, services, and job opportunities, please visit their website at www.morrisonhospital.com. |
