MCH has already begun taking proposals to begin remodeling their OR (Operating Room). The anticipated project completion date is late fall of 2009. MCH is excited to be offering these new surgical services to the community and surrounding area. The new and improved surgical suites will offer state-of-the-art equipment with the latest technology. The newest generation of video systems and monitoring will be used by the physicians and staff. Patients will now have the ability to remain close to home for their procedures and recovery, while still receiving the compassionate care that they expect from MCH. Laura Gayton, RN, CNOR, Director of Surgical Services said, “There will be a diverse range of surgical procedures that will be performed by the specialists at MCH. Some of those services will include endoscopic, gynecologic, otolaryngology, and podiatry, many which can be done on an outpatient basis.” Chad Haskell the new Director of Communications and Fund Development said, “This is just one of the many improvements that you will see from the Morrison Community Hospital. We have great ideas and high expectations. We are pleased to announce this as another great addition to the hospital services. Along with the recent remodeling of the MCH Family Care Clinic, this is another way we are striving to meet the needs of our community and surrounding areas. We would like to thank the community for all of their support!” An open house will be held after the completion of the project.
